Partners’ philosophy is a simple one: “It’s all about the relationship!”  It is about the relationship with the program, with supervisors, with the school district, with the administrators, with the teachers, with the students, with their families, with the clinicians, and with the educational process.  It is also about the relationship each student has with him/herself.  We value, nurture, and encourage these relationships and, consequently, we achieve positive results.  Success generates success and we find a way to help everyone be successful!

PARTNERS services are designed for at-risk elementary, middle and high school students with behavioral, social, and/or emotional problems who can benefit from services that address the needs of the student within the school environment.  We provide:

  • Case Management Services
  • Individual therapy
  • Group therapy
  • Social skills training
  • Anger management
  • STARS Summer Camp
  • School-Linked Services
  • Parenting Seminars
  • Clinical Training
  • Practicum and Internship Placement

PARTNERS provide clinical training to practicum students and interns who are currently enrolled in a clinical doctoral program.  Training consists of both the STARS summer camp and the school-based program. Practicum students and interns are required to participate in both programs for the entire year.  Students receive:

  • One hour individual supervision per week
  • Two hours of group supervision per week
  • Two hours of training per week
  • Students follow the school calendar of the school in which they are placed.
  • Holidays and vacations follow that school calendar.
  • Trainees and interns are required to be at their school campus one full day each week, for their “Doc of the Day” assignment, and, at minimum, one additional day each week to see individual patients and run therapy groups.
  • Additionally, trainees and interns are required to be available on Thursday afternoons for trainings and group supervision.

Partners utilizes behavioral based interventions, along with others, while always focusing on the relationship.  Patients are conceptualized from a psychodynamic perspective.  Practicum students and interns are expected to be open to learning these methods
