About Us

     Partners is a non-profit public benefit corporation. We receive fees for services from the California Department of Vocational Rehabilitation, the Regional Centers, Medi-Cal, insurance companies, grants, and from private payers.   

     We are also fortunate to have many individual and corporate donors whose generosity allows us to provide a continuum of services designed to enhance the skills of people with special needs.

Who We Are

     Cathy Tennant, M.D. and Virginia Bassi, Ph.D. have significant experience working with at-risk children with behavioral difficulties, developmental delays, cognitive deficits, attention deficits and children in need of remedial attention.

     Cathy Tennant, M.D. is the Founder and CEO of Partners In Rehabilitation, which has been serving the community for over 20 years.

     Virginia Bassi, Ph.D. is also Founder and Director of STARS Summer Camp, which specializes in treating children with ADHD, autistic spectrum disorders, behavioral, emotional and/or social problems.

     Programs and services have been requested and utilized throughout Bay Area school districts.  PARTNERS' work with the educational and legal teams in the best interest of the student to ensure the IEP is fully implemented.
